This story is almost too good to be true. In March, I went online to pay my phone bill with Verizon when this lovely ad popped up...
Free?! Really??! No. Way.
Let me preface this with the fact that my contract was up in November, but I had been waiting to renew until I had gotten Mr. James on my contract that summer when we would be married. My current iPhone 4s was in perfect condition so there was no reason to rush. But, free...I love that word.
Mr. James and I decided to go into our local Verizon store to inquire more into this. Our sales manager was extremely helpful and set all of our worries at ease. Not only did I end up signing a new 2-year contract and getting a new iPhone, but I also got it for free. Here is what the break-down ended up being:
iPhone 5c 32gb white= $0.00
1-yr Mfg. Warranty= $0.00
Upgrade fee (for the new contract)= $30.00
Survivor case= $29.99 (on sale)
Car charger= $22.49 (on sale)
3pk Antiscratch clear cover= $9.74 (on sale)
iPhone 4s trade-in= -$200.00

So, I not only got my iPhone for free, but I also got all of my accessories for free AND still had $100 left over to put toward Mr. James' phone when the time came! Now that's a bargain!!
